The Emperor – Pocket Square

The most imposing of the Emperor Penguins cannot hide from climate change. The temperature of the Antarctic Peninsula climbs up three times faster than the rest of the world and its west shore has shrunk 40% since 1981. Another major danger is the excessive industrial fishing of krill, the main source of food for the Emperors, which makes their survival a very harsh challenge. These penguins have seen the size of their colonies diminish by 90% since the 1980’s.
